Today I went up to London for the Good Food Eat Well Show with my mum and my nan. It was a gift to them both from 'Oscar' for looking after him so much for me.
I was really interested in this show as I love food shows and eating healthy is a massive massive lifestyle trend at the moment.
There was lots of superfood powders and proteins bars which was great especially the powders as I'm really into juices and smoothies at the mo! Lots of things packed with antioxidants and vitamins and all things good for you! It was a great place to go and have a nose if you are thinking of jumping into the super healthy lifestyle. The Tv chef Lorraine Pascale was there doing a demonstration on how to make 'Raw' brownies as well as Davina McAll speaking about going sugar free.
Now I'm not going to lie as much as I like the idea of the super healthy lifestyle full of amazing things to make your body a temple I am not following it in anyway I still like carbs and fats and don't think replacing pasta with spiralised courgette is going to change my life (even though I really really want to try a spiraliser!)
So once we had wandered round and I had bought some low sugar high fruit natural spreads for Oscar we decided to go to our favourite little Italian near Embankment for a late lunch. La Piazza. We have been coming to the same restaurant for at least 10 years and still can't resist it! I had an amazing filled pasta of ricotta and black truffle (I was too impatient to take a pic first!)
Then followed by an Espresso Martini and Churros for desert!
So let's be honest the health food trend is perhaps not for me.....
